Cyrotherapy
Cryotherapy is a treatment that involves exposing the body to extremely cold temperatures for a short period. It is commonly used to reduce inflammation, relieve muscle pain, and accelerate recovery after intense physical activity. There are two main types of cryotherapy:
Whole-Body Cryotherapy (WBC): This involves standing in a chamber or room cooled to temperatures ranging from -110°C to -160°C (-166°F to -256°F) for about 2-4 minutes. The intense cold triggers the body's natural healing mechanisms, promoting blood flow and releasing endorphins, which help reduce pain and inflammation.
